Why ohh why I'm having the stupid little issues with stardock software? -(

Right now:

Maxthon just stuck when I hit CTRL+F (for search) if it skinned with windowblinds (no, I don't want to disable skinning on maxthon and any other software I use). Any sollutions/fixes please?

Thanks...

P.S.: I don't like to complain but slowly I feel I should contact stardock. All of their software just buggy. I'm really loosing my trust about them.

There is another thread on the IE2 subject. https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WC&id=313704#313708

Are you using beta versions of the software? Beta means buggy.

Maybe you're right... But opening another "child window" (in myie for example)... Well to brogram this is nothing, even I can do it with a very basic programming skill. I'm sure that the search "window" code is clear and doesn't require any bugfixin' for ages. [but then again I'm not trusting in the beta either, how could I trust someone else's work if I don't even know how it's going to work right?]...

But it's clearly a skinning issue. A little "loop" occures when I push the shortcut key for search, and the system is just waiting to paint the new search window.

I don't have that issue at home with Maxthon, only prob is dl animations are disabled and that's Maxthons fault. No bug problems with Stardock software at all

Pixel Pirate: Hope you don't believe that Stardock softwares are ok.

I (and many others) have problems constantly. Macromedia products (or other similar, multiwindowed software).

I'm bored with the basic look of my pc but slowly I'm going to look for another software. I know I didn't pay for it, I'm using the shareware so I shouldn't complain... But still A software company should create a bugless software or nothing at all IMHO...

Interesting you should point this out in your quest for bugfree software because Macromedia products have more bugs than you can shake a stick at. DW MX frequently crashes just because it wants to, the support for RDS connections leaves much to be desired and don't even get me started on what Macromedia did to the HomeSite product.. They took the best coders editor and turned it into an albeit less buggy than DW but buggy still the same piece of bloatware.

Wow! I'd like to see you write something as complex as WB and have it be 100% bugfree. To be perfectly honest in a complex app like WB I'm not sure you could EVER have a state of bugfree. Someone, somewhere will always find something that they consider a bug. It's too bad that everyone likes to try and pin bugs and abnormalities in other apps on WB because in most cases it's that app getting skinned that causes the problem. I mean really, which is the likely candidate here, a BETA version of Maxthon or WB that has had several years to work out any major wrinkles?? I think the answer is clearly not WB, regardless of what you may have convinced yourself.

Oh, and wrt the fact that you haven't paid for the software yet you feel that you are somehow entitiled to a perfect bugfree AND payment free skinning app, I have only one thing to say - kwitcherbitchen!

Unfortunately I do believe just that, because I've never had any problems with WB or any other app from Stardock. The only app that's caused problems for me is QuarkXPress Passport, but that's not Stardocks fault - it's Quarks. Quark only seem to like UIS1 skins and not UIS2, so I have to use those instead. Some apps are coded so they don't like getting skinned and Quark is one of them.

I've only tried Flash MX and no problems there - wouldn't know about FireWorks or DreamWeaver. Adobe software is multiwindowed as well and there are no problems there. So I'm guessing you're followed by bad luck.

Anyway, I think the problem lies within Maxthon in your case. Even though they claim it's out of beta, it's still in its "early years" and several bug fixes are included in their frequently new releases.
