People need to understand something about this site...and that is...it is run and co-operated by HUMAN BEINGS and some who do it VOLUNTARILY.
Yes, human beings submit stuff too and the hardest job for all the admins is not just having to moderate but having to decide what stays and goes as far as walls and what to rate it accordingly. Would anyone have the time or fortitude or gonads to do that job and keep their sanity? It takes a LOT of guts to be able to do that and do it without going a bit crazy.
Some of our walls were rated fives by the admins and later other folks gave it better ratings that we were most grateful for but we'd have still been proud to have a wall here at all even a rated 5 one.
That's the spirit of 'fun' I think. For...aren't the majority of us here doing it for fun and to "GIVE" something of ourselves? And do we forget that Stardock provides us with bandwidth and 'space' for our dreams that do get in?
Must Wincustomize.com be the most perfect site on the planet to appease the masses and even then won't people complain or nag or think up conspiracies? Anything that is popular is bashed because there will always be some bitterness and some hurt somewhere along the line. Some of our cursors weren't rated well by the admins but we didn't feel cheated or hurt...we just figured they want us to improve and get better which we are trying to do. Sure, other kind folks come along and rate us better later on down the line but we WANT to improve and get better. Don't we all? It is very heart-warming and rewarding when people like what you've done...and I understand it's upsetting when stuff doesn't get seen because of a low rate...especially after a LOT of hard work but to get discouraged to the point that you bite the very hand the feeds you and nurtures your artistry is just...wrong.
To us this is a place of learning and brother/sister-hood. Right? This is a place to share and to give and to take as well.
We are in this together and when a rejection comes along it doesn't mean "you suck" it just means certain criteria wasn't met...and that doesn't stamp your art with "rejection" but just says it doesn't "work" for a "skinning" site.
SOrry, we didn't mean to turn this into a weird manifesto...but a great place like this doesn't deserve so much bashing. It doesn't accomplish much at all. And people who even claim their "frustration and anger" towards this site still love it or they wouldn't keep visiting it. NO?
Now let's all play in the sandbox together and get along!

Well I think they keep a record of ratings so it shouldn't be too hard to fix.
