Allright Froboy, you thought YOU had it bad?

Your little kamikaze bird ain't got nothing on this squirrel that keeps coming around my house.

You see, he knows that the dog is on a chain when he is outside. So what does this squirrel do? He runs around just a foot or so outside of Tuck's reach so that Tuck goes absolutely wild trying to get to him. And if that isn't bad enough, when Tuck is inside the house, that brazen little long puffy tailed rat actually has the nerve to perch himself on the deck railing so that Tuck sees him sitting there and barks _constantly_ while jumping at the patio door. When Tuck finally settles down, the dang thing actually walks up to the door and sits there until he hears Tuck scratch at the door again, then he goes right back to the railing to nibble on whatever little treats he's found, occasionally staring through the door to be sure Tuck isn't walking away yet.

If Tuck doesn't get that squirrel soon, I will!

That doesn't sound too bad. Get rid of the squirrel, and your problem is solved! I wish it was that easy for my dogs. I honestly wonder why anybody would want to teach their dog to "speak."

oops... I just noticed the typo in the subject line... that should be "Frogboy" not "Froboy".... hehe

Tech Cat, they aren't on the endangered species list, so no, it's legal to kill them. In fact, people go squirrel hunting around here quite often. But I don't think I could kill him just for being annoying.

squirrels are completely legal to hunt.

my dog enjoys tossing them (no... not attack and chew them up... run them down... pick them up and toss em...)

squirrels don't like my yard much....

Sounds like you have one of the squirrels from the Geico commercials in your backyard.

Sounds like you need to add about two feet to your dog's chain

This is starting to remind me of those cartoons with Foghorn Leghorn and the dog.

I wonder if humans are endangered species...Seems to me the squirrell is the smarter of the two. Does it say meepcheepmeep, and is Tuck buying from ACME?

They were/are chipmunks.

As a follow up to my earler post, I know it works. We had neighborhood cats that used to torture our dog the same way. I let out his leash about four feet and when the cat stretched out in its usual manner, the dog took off. That was one surprised cat. Never came back

I think the Large Black and the very few White Bushy Squirrels in Nebraska are protected?

Get a .22 and hope you don't hit your neighbors house.
