Is there a way to check the galaxy creation settings while playing the game?

I noticed there's a distinct lack of resources in my current game, despite remembering I had checked to make sure resources had been set 'abundant.'  I would like to check the galaxy creation settings for the game in progress before submitting it as a bug report, however.  Is there a way to check the game setup/galaxy creation settings that were used to generate the current game after it has been created?

Thanks.

This would be useful, I noticed if you arent careful that clicking on the various boxes can inadvertently set something to "random".

If you have not changed it, the settings under "new game" should still be the same.

To check the settings for the game while the game is still running, do the following:

1.  Use Alt-Tab to get to the desktop.

2.  Open your GalCiv3 directory.  For Win7 is is located at C:\Users\your name\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3.

3.  Locate the Prefs.ini file and open it with your favorite text editor.

4.  Search for GalaxySettings.

5.  The GalaxySettings section should tell you part of what you want to know.  The next section, GameSettings, should tell you the rest.

The Prefs.ini file is updated when a new game is created, so it will contain information about the current game.
