[Bug?][992] Too late for release, but I'd like to see life shards produce something for a Binding faction.

This has been noted before, but long ago: I made a custom Kingdom with Binding last night and got all excited when I built on my first life shard, wondering what strange creature would emerge. None, of course. Compared with the Cyndrum Demon (which I love), this was a disappointment.

Devs, could you please add a critter to spawn from life shards?

I'm playing on the large pre-gen map, Curgen's something, and loving it! After months and months of randomly-generated maps (which are good), this is a refreshing change!

Also, I had to restart the game twice last night, once due to a stuck end turn and once because I lost most of the UI on the strategic map - bogged down with little memory, I guess. I have a Win7 32-bit machine with 4 GB of RAM, and a fresh install of 0.992. The fresh install did fix my problems with missing trees and ctrl-N crashes!

Agreed, my first Custom faction was a binding kingdom. Didn't get any elementals :(

Do kingdoms in the recent patches now summon crow demons et al?

Not sure it makes since for a Life event to Bind.  That seems to be on the darker side of things.

Angels and Unicorns.

It does seem a little sinister, doesn't it? Apropos, I recently made an empire faction with "Legacy of Serrane." Hehe.

I see your angels and unicorns, and raise you archangels and pink unicorns.

I've gotten crow demons in my latest game - love the binding ability. It fits well into my playstyle to have units regularly pop up!

I vote for spawning fluffy bunnies

I agree life shards should produce angels.

Also, I think betrayers factions should have a choice between life shards and death shards.  It's not like Kraxis uses death magic.

Or whatever type of demon-creature-thingie comes out of life shards in elementals universe (Its not like we have "real" demons, we have these elemental wannabe's).

Angels and other divine creatures are suspiciously missing from the Elemental lore.

I find the same true with "true" demons, to me there are not really good or evil creatures, but only some Elementals that are seemingly indestinguishable from demons of lore.

But I always liked the divine/demonic always coexisted in a constant battle so I can have my paladins :P

While angelic-like beings would be great from life shards (or the BMX bandit), i actually like that the elementals are a little morally ambiguous lore-wise.  just because something looks evil or good, doesn't mean it is.  case in point, the ceresa/procipinee debate.

plus, the beauty of the sandbox means we can assign moral values as we see fit.  when I play as Ceresa, I want her to be persecuted and misunderstood rather than evil and she's just conquering the world in self defense.  really.

Never said Angels have to be good, my favourite interpretation of angels are where they are very vindictive and overly "righteous" about they're own cause, making they seem somewhat "Evil" from an outside angle.

I like to play Ceresa as just trying to mind her own business as the wraiths, although will attack if threatened but if left alone, will leave you alone. My impressions from Frogboy is that Ceresa and the Wraiths are "neutral" according to "our values".

I still think this is really sad.
