James bond, Skyfall... Who will be going to see it?

I hope Q is back with some gadgets; the last film wasn't Bond at all.

Agree about the last film, although I liked the story the setting was so weak. You could just tell from the get-go that the last hotel had been built just so they could blow it up.

I'm definitely watching Skyfall, Bond is a great franchise and I can forgive a crappy movie (I have before - space and lasers anyone?). I like Craig as Bond but he needs to be given room to play a gentleman like in Casino Royale. In the follow-up he was just an action-hero, and that definitely isn't bond.

Well, they blew up a miniature model of the ESO hotel anyways. The actual hotel has been there in Chile since 2002 so that visiting scientists could have a nice place to stay while they use the ESO Very Large Telescope.

But yeah, Skyfall woooo!

Absolutely fantastic singer they picked for the intro song! Love Adele!

Maybe it's the 70+ piece orchestra...but that song absolutely nailed the JB 'style'.

I'm old enough to have seen all the movies [when they were released]....and read the books [at least Fleming's ones] ....thought Roger Moore was almost the biggest disaster....in fact the only two that got it right are Connery and Craig.....

And FFS....lose the bullshit BMWs.  Stick to REAL cars.  Bond is NOT Barvarian....;p

The reviews coming out of UK are stellar.  We're talking, rebirth good.

I was dissapointed with there devating from the James Bond style of movies and songs in the last movies but this song goes back to the real JB songs.  Now I hope they bring the movies back to how they should be.

I agree with Jafo but the worst was Timothy Dalton, not Roger Moore.

My favorite was Thunderball. Space flicks are cool.

New Bond with Craig?

If I close my eyes, I can already see it - lot's of shaky cam and chaotic action, expressionless Craig resembling a Russian mob enforcer breaking people's bones, some stupid plot about a master criminal trying to make baked products 30 percent more expensive, obscure references to previous Bond movies.

I will probably pass that "experience", given how much Quantum of Solace sucked.

Wake me up when shaky cam is out of fashion again - that thing killed movies for me. 

I hate that shaky cam shit, too.  Too damn many TV shows have also substituted that for plot.

Paul Greengrass is one of the main culprits, and his Bourne movies. It was a brain-sqashing blurry hodge-podge nonesense. When I was young and enjoyed classic action movies, I was joking that one day, someone will make a move that will be 2 hours of continuous, non-stop action. Now that someone did, I don't think it's funny anymore.

I'll end up seeing this new movie.  Hopefully its better than Quantum of Solace.
