Improvement to city shop - sort the items

The city shop gets REALLY messy late in the game. Everything seems to be added with no real sense of what goes first and what comes after. There's no order. This makes the shop difficult to look at.

I would recommend that you split the shop into the same categories that items have when they are inside a champion's inventory.

I agree that the shop is messy and could due with some way to sort.

I also think the character equip and trade UI is just as bad. For example, there is no visual info that says you are limited to 3 accessories. I know its been done in all other RPG's, but the diagram of a person with slots and indicators on what is what (by text or a line pointing to the diagram of the person) really is a good quick way to see what is equipped and how much of each item can be equipped at one time. Sorry, didn't mean to get off topic...

It's not off-topic. The purchasing and trading and equipping interface need to be greatly improved and integrated. It's still too much of a hassle the way it is.

Would be useful to see columns for armor, weapons, and magical items, sortable by cost and power.

Also, side-by-side comparisons of the gear being worn and moused-over gear would be nice.

It would be very nice.

Inventory management generally needs some love, both for shops but also for units. I hate having to scroll sideways or up and down as I cycle through my guys. Certainly a sorting/filtering option should exist.

Yes please .... a better mechanism in the management of the store would be highly desirable. Currently it is a bit "inappropriate." It would also be nice if there were shops (weapons, armor, or objects) with their inventories scattered on the map (such as HOMM series).

If then we had the ability to create magic items ad-hoc as in the old (but never forgotten) Master of Magic would be the icing on the cake.

I agree with both of these ideas, even if they require a little bit of a different implementation style.
