(beta) Ships auto join carrier fleets?

I usually keep my carriers separate from the rest of the fleet (as their own flleet) on the outer rim of the well with movement on hold position. 

Since beta when new ships enter the well to support my fleet, they join the motionless carriers at the edge of the well instead of joining the attacking fleet....anyone else notice this?

Fleets have always acted stupidly from what a player would want.

 

best bet is to not use em. you have hotkeygroups, those work jsut as well, without the annoying quirks of fleets.

 

The only downside, is that you cant rally ships constructed to a hotkey group.  Which, I think would be stupidly simple obvious awesome if done.
