Darkside Units- Grouping

Hello, new to the game and forum.

 

I have recently attempted starting a couple of games using the "evil" factions and cannot figure out how to create "team units".

 

I have built both the Garrison and the War Council improvements and researched the ARMY tech. Shouldn't that be enough (I'm not sure that ARMY is required)?

 

After all this, when I go to the "team" button it is un-clickable and says that I still need the already built and researched technologies.

 

Is this a (known) bug?

Are you trying to team Pioneers, or Caravans? Because utility units always come as singles. If you're attempting to build military units and you get this problem I have no clue what's wrong.

click on the unit you want to build then adjust the group size and experience.

 Yeah, what he said... its the little buttons in that build window menu that you have to click 1st for both amount of units in the group & a second button for the units experience lvl (veteren, elite, etc). Hope this helps.

 Are you positive you ahve researched the necesary tech>? If so then I would suggest making a bug post for the devs to check out your post that includes the file dump thingy they use for trouble shooting. I forget what they use is called and can;t seem to find it in the threads... can anyone tell him in better detail what I'm failing at?

Seems that every other game I have played the Peasant unit is the first unit. I got into the habit of selecting the "group" and experience training buttons before selecting the unit. The dark-side have the Pioneer as the first unit and so you cannot select the group size before changing the unit.
