Gildar ability increase vs flat Gildar reward

Hi Everyone,

 

As I've been playing Elemental more and more, I've been unlocking it's fun value. However there are still some things that confuse me. One of them is a reward that is offered at the end of a fight. Some fights give you a choice of either flat Gildar (Sorry if I'm spelling it wrong) or a bonus to Gildar ability.  Eg 40 Gildar or 8 Gildar ability bonus. 

 

Can someone please explain to me how the Gildar ability bonus works.  I'm assuming that it adds to the Gildar resourse my empire generates, but I can't for the life of me figure out how as I can't find an increases in my Gildar producing on my kingdom resource screen.

Its not an either/or situation. The 8 gildar ability bonus at the end of fights is the thief bonus. So if you got 40 gildar and 8 gildar then you're total is 48 gildar. Either you or one of your champions has the thief trait, which is pretty nifty and accounts for this bonus.
