What to do before patch release?
Any suggestions, propositions? ![]()
Make a back up of your MODS dir. The update might/could erase its contents. LOL
As long as the update Doesn't Delete the install folders, and all your Mods files are named something other than the names of the base game files, your mods shouldn't go anywhere. If it Does delete the files like a few of the last updates have, then yes, if you don't back up your Mods you'll loose them if the directories are deleted, so John's on the right track there. Back em up, just in case ![]()
Pray for the earliest release ![]()
And for the challenging game.
Play with yourself ? ![]()
I startet some other games. DA: O, Torchlight and SC 2, but i get bored after 10min of playing. Good games, but i really like to play Elemental.
So... i will go on reading "Otherland", altough its also boring at the moment. Part 1 was good. But "River of blue fire" ... I read 300 pages and nothing happens.
Finish fallout 3....Finally.
Play a little napolean total war.
Watch Nikita...
European League started! I will watch soccer match and hope that after it patch will be ready ![]()
Great idea! ![]()
Juventus - Lech Poznań 3:3
But i can`t find patch. My faith that patch exists is slowly going down...
Finish Amnesia :the Dark Descent.
Leverkusen - Trondheim, 4:0
...and still waiting in pleasant anticipation. ![]()
Did you like it? (Amnesia). Looks interesting.
Yeah. You are completely defenseless so all you can do is run and hide. You also go insane if you stand in the dark to long. This is the first game that I have found scary in a long time. There was one part of the game where you had to go back to the celler and I didn't want to because it was too dark. But you got to play it in the dark and alone for it to be worth it.
Well, you could take the family dog to the clippers, like I did. Then take bets on which is ready first. The poodle
or the patch. ![]()
wins
Sleep, and then continue waiting for 1.1 ![]()
Do it now!
Seriously, if you have even a SHRED of love for the old SSI gold box games and have even an inkling of knowledge into the workingss of OGL/SRD 3.5 (aka the "free" rules for D&D 3.5) spend the £15 or approximately $23.38 and get one of the best fantasy tactical combat games I've seen in a LONG time. If nothing else, a HUGE amount of OGL information is at your fingertips at all times in game... you'll NEVER be at a loss for what a condition, item or spell does.
Here are a couple of caveats... this game is definitely indie. The sprite graphics are very low resolution but the animations aren't too bad. The game sounds are pretty retro but they paid a lot of attention to little things like how a spell like "insect swarm" would sound as background noise.
The game isn't completely faithful to 3.5 in a couple of key ways
3 races, one of which doesn't exist in the base game (human, elf and a half-dwarf called "mul")
3 classes, again with one that's not in the base game (cleric, wizard and warrior renamed to knight)
Crafting is somewhat game breaking, and if you're not hip to it, you'll be sad (you can't even find shields for sale before the first big fight, but can easily make them on the cheap)
This is the kind of game that makes me fall in love with the whole concept of indie developers all over again. This would never make it as a mainstream release, but it's so very insanely polished and accessible.
If you have a wife / girlfriend, go rock her world and that should buy you a few hours of uninterrupted game time.
