Sovereign renaming

I think it would be very good to be able to rename an existing sovereign. Right now if I want to pick a sovereign and change its name, I have to go through the process of creating a new sovereign from scratch, which is long when all I want is just changing the name.

So what I did to achieve that was look for the save file, change the names inside the xml, find out that this was useless, and then rename the xml file itself. It's a bit awkward at the moment, even though it works.

Well ... it would be nice to USE a pre-existing Sovereign as a Template to create a new Sovereign.

Mostly for creating new custom Sovereigns ... where you realize you wanted to trade Trait X for Trait Y; or Magic Book A for Book B.

I liked how in Gal Civ 2 you could click on just about anything in game and Re-Name it, even stars. It would be cool to have the same feature in Elemental, even to the point of changing the name of a enemy Sovereign while in game. Like if I wanted to rename "Lady Procipinee" to "Lady Spanksalot" while in the middle of the game. Some times I like to do that (only using a serious name) just because I come up with my own names which I think suite the characters better. This was one of the things I loved about the Final Fantasy games back on the Nintendo Systems. You could name the characters anything you wanted. In Final Fantasy 1 & 2 you could even pick your characters "class" and make a party "D&D" style. Once the FF games moved over to the Playstation all the names in the storylines were hard-coded into the games and used in CG cut-scenes. This killed a lot of enjoyment in the Final Fantasy series for me.
