MyColors Ankh Desktop

bored of errors

What's going on with MyColors Ankh Desktop ???

A week or so ago i was told i got an invalid serial for it (the one given by Stardock with all my licensed products), then probably Stardock did correct things and an update came which i installed without trouble.

Today one more update earlier, then an Impulse update came, and now "File not found" for MyColors Ankh Desktop (in same time i check to verify installation of it, i'm told it's correctly installed, trying uninstall, seemed to be uninstalled  ...

 

Could things be once for all fixed with that silly Impulse program ???

Cancel the download in impulse and then close it, open MyColors, right click on Ankh, it should have update in the list......update, when it's done close MyColors. Now impulse shouldn't be sohwing an available update for it anymore. :) ..........bye bye to the file not found error!  :thumbsup:

i just tired to download and reinstall my ank desktop this morning ..... and  i got error retreiving data ... now whats up with that ?

Ya I just now tried to update it through Impulse and got the error: "Error retrieving data".  The MyColors app showed the update available and I updated through there, then Impulse recognized that it had been updated.

Same but for me i still get the same error in Impulse : "Error retireving data" :annoyed:

Where are located MyColors files for the different themes (specially preview  files) ???

Is that when trying to update the theme? 

I would recommend uninstalling the theme and then trying to redownload it in Impulse.

Already done before posting @ October 22, 2009 8:04:28 PM and doesn't change anything

I tried a lot of conbinations: uninstall trough MyColors/reinstall trough Impulse, uninstall through impulse/reinstall through MyColors ... the best result i get is to have MyColors Ankh correctly displayed in MyColors (latest update) and showed as installed in Impulse (latest update also), but when verifying installation with Impulse, it's saying that application is not correctly installed and that i have to update it ... and when trying to update, i go back to "error retrieving data" x_x

(of course i also did a rest data in Impulse )

Did you try to verify installation through Impulse after :X
