Demigod has fallen from top 10 PC sales chart, hopefully online sales are doing better!

:pout:

It spent 3 weeks in the top 10 , not bad , but not great either... Hopefully sales online are picking up , as well as the sales overseas and now in the EU. It still feels like the online community is a bit sparse, it still seems to take too long to get people into a 3v3, and actually stay. The future coming 50% off coupon that was promised will hopefully help double the community base.

I'm thinking alot of people are holding off until stats are fixed and the AI issue is changed in multiplayer.  Once these get fixed, I bet the pantheon starts rolling again.

They haven't been activelly mass marketing the game either. I expect numbers to pick up significantly once they put out the demo and market the game. There've been posts suggesting they've been waiting for the various connectivity issues to be solved before they do the ad push.

As mentioned by frogboy, sales should be about 100k for both stores and online by this weekend.

Bad reviews, no advertisement, bad multiplayer connections, all hurt sales short and long term.

One thing to remember the NPD the group that tracks game sales doesn't look at direct download sales, meaning sure it might now have wow level box sales but it could be blowing other games away due to direct downloads.

Generally, online sales are equal or worse than real boxes. It's very rare for a game to sell more online than offline, unless the primary distribution source was planed to be mainly online from the get go.
