Okulus sorta does, the third? weapon upgrade makes all of them more powerful. Dunno bout the transcencia, I always wondered about that too.
was talking about research wise(but yeah thats a good point):
Argonev has Lasers(lv0)->missiles(lv1)->Beam cannons(lv2)
TEC have research to increase damage of all 3, + range of missiles
Orkulus has Pulse beam cannons(lv0)->disintegrators(lv1)->phase missiles(lv2)-> damage increase
Vasari have tech to increase damage of pulse beams & phase missiles, + shield negation of phase missiles
Transcencia has plasma cannons(lv0)->lasers(lv1)->psionic surge(lv2)
Advent have tech to increase damage of plasma & lasers, & refire rate of plasma.
all 3 races have research to add 1 weapon bank to all weapons and +10% damage, all races have a survivability upgrade.
Vasari also get rapid deployment; TEC get increased disruption. Advent have nothing comparable.
i don't wanna hear anything about how the transcencia is an awesome fleet killer cuz of meteor storm, cuz argonev has self destruct, which has a whole lot more damage output, even if it does destroy the SB, and Orkulus can steamroll assault cruisers. Transcencia's meteor storm has a fixed range, only does 750 the first time, and then like 300 every volley after.(although this is less noticeable around asteroids)
guess im sort of mainly complaining for 1. weapon upgrades for the orkulus' and transcencias' unique weapons, and b. some kind of functionality to extend the transcencia's sphere of influence...maybe lost shields on jumping away from one?

Oh I see what you were getting at, dont know how i missed that. My guess would be that since they're single ocurrence, SB only weapons they dont merit an upgrade all their own? It doesnt really make sense given that before entrenchment the TEC Kol battleship had beam weapons but the TEC had no beam weapon upgrade. Maybe it will be fixed later, though since theyre kinda "special" weapons I doubt it.
Thats exactly what I've been thinking. Upgrades for these weapons should be added as it is inconsistant with the rest of the game.
Vasari surivability upgrade grants +10% health, +6 armor(=+30% health) =~+40% health
TEC survivability grants +20% health, +4 armor (=+20% health)=~+40% health
Advent upgrade grants +15% shields and +15% shields regeneration=~+15% survivability. umm? and advent dont even have a special upgrade for their sb(combat deployment, improved disruption).
