Sins digital d/l issue

Can we assume the preorder will be available to D/L when timer hits 0?
If so are you guys ready to cope with the demand, wouldn't it be better to phase it in over the weekend by emailing out keys over the weekend? (Randomise the emails so there is no complaining)

I would rather have some ppl start and finsh over weekend and wait if it will reduce problems with the D/L later on. With out a preload I fear there maybe issues when d/ling on release.

the devs have stated that they already bought up surplus bandwidth to handle the release, so the d/ling should work fine

Will wait and see man. When that timer hits 0 theres going to be alot of server strain.

Lol there is one thing I really hate about stardock. And thats their download speed. At best I get 140k from them. That was cool 5 years ago but in this age rofl. So prepare for a looooooong download. I dont have a crappy connection 1.2 MB download.

Ok the rest about Stardock owns and is really good (To make up for the one thing I hate hehehe)

1.5 mb here so around 180kb/s dl , either way it will take me a few hours to dl..

but whats a few hours to dl compared to the 10 days i have to wait?

I generally get 700-850kb/s myself. A lot depends on your location and what's between you and the servers.

The "timer" at the top and release will only vaguely be related to eachother, as the countdown is actually controlled by your computers clock. So if you wanted to, you could make it ready that there was just a few second remaining easily enough by just fast-forwarding your computer's clock a little :D

Hey, unless you play around with your computers clock settings, they should still occur pretty close to eachother!
