Metaverse:Benefit to join another empire?

The benefit to get members is more points I believe. What is the benefit to someone that joins anothers empire?

Also, Does my own empire continue to grow if I joined another? Can I later leave an empire that I joined?

Off topic:Also, How do I create a link? What's an "URL" when choosing "Link"? Sorry I'm usually a gamer and not a internet chatter.

The URL is the website address you want the link to be.

If you click on Link to insert a link then you type in the web site address for example:

"http :// www. google. com" (without the spaces ) in the URL box.

The same goes for images, you just type in the web address (URL) of the image to post.

Hope that made sense

Your scores go towards that empires score. You can get a medal for being in a high ranking empire.

Your empire will grow if you post scores of a character IN YOUR EMPIRE. If you use a character in another person's empire THEY will get the scores. And yes you can leave an empire but will loose any medals associated with it. including your own.

Hope that helps

Cool! Thanks Rogue Metro. Many people might not even bother responding. That should have been obvious...well I guess to someone familiar with it. So I should be able to copy whats in the address bar of a particular post and paste it in the "URL" box to show people some thing of interest. Is that correct?

Thanks again Rogue Metro.
So,pretty much, if you join you're in for good.Unless you want to be stripped of your medals and back to where you started.Interesting...Join a top ten or attempt my own empire where I probably would not be doing much chatting or using any flashy websites to recruit others. It might be good to see how far I can go on my own in Metaverse. Even if I like long games on huge maps..."Epics".
I rated "insightful" for your post...If that even does any thing.

This is not entirely accurate, or at least a little misleading. Here's some examples:

Jedi Republic (led by me)
Galactic Diplomats (led by D. Griffin)

While I am emperor of the Jedi Republic, I don't actually have to have any characters in it (you are allowed three characters linked to your account). If I do have characters in it, their current score will go towards the Jedi total. Whether they submitted those games before or after joining is irrelevant, and if they leave, their scores go wherever they do. The only thing that is different for you personally is whether you get a "top 1/2/3 empire" medal in your profile.

Note that you can freely have your three characters in different, same, or no empire at all. I could have a cahracter or even two in D. Griffin's empire, while only one in my own.

Ok. thank Darth Kryo.
What if you decided to join Galactic Diplomats? Would your members automatically be in his empire? Would your empire vanish?
If this works maybe you can consider it to create a massive empire. That top ten galactic map is cool. But, of course, you would want him to join YOUR empire. Thus is the history of civilizations.

No. Empires are not linked to any of your characters, just to your personal account. So even if ALL three of my personal characters joined the Diplomacts, the Jedi would continue to exist just as they do now, the only difference being a slightly lower score since my meta character left and took his points with him.

For reference, I have my main active character (named Darth Kryo same as my account) in the Jedi Republic. I also have characters in the Browncoats and the Overmind, though both of those extra characters are only around for moral support (they have 0 scores).

Ok. Thanks. Now I think I understand enough of how it works to begin in metaverse. Is there "Official" information such as this? It seems that there should be and it should be easy to find/access/view.
