Not showing up

Here is my problem: when i start a game i want to zoom in to a planet. the problem is.. the planet isnt there. let me explain. there is a circle to show that the planet is there but the texture itself is missing, i have installed the latest patch, and have checked my options multiple times and there is not much that i can change. i can disable it but thats not the goal here.
also the terran scout does not apear on the screen. litterly i have to view on the map and click until i find it. thats a problem right?
well i hope there is a solution for this.

i am running windows xp so that should not be the problem anyone knows what to do?

Did you try the things listed in that thread that was linked? Did they solve the problem temporarily?

yes it did and it is anoying i keep have to change it back to dutch then when i want to play it to english..

ok ok once again it doesnt show up even with changing the language to english and stuff
