Check here before installing spyware

Several "Anti Spyware/ Anti Adware" applications install more adware and spyware than they even remove. Many simply give false positives to try and get you to think they are really good and hope you will buy them.

Before you make a decision check here and look at the list. You may be surprised at what you find>>>

Great link!! Most people I know recommend either SpybotS&D or AdAware. These are my two favs. I am surprised, a little, to see MS in second place...

Happy Thanksgiving!!

MS Antispyware is one of the better ones out there, according to what I have heard.

Just because it's Microsoft doesn't mean it's bad.

I've been running MS Antispyware for months now. I scan at least once a week and it hasn't found anything since the first couple of scans. I hope this is a good thing. Spybot and AdAware always find a few things. Always the same things. I think they must autoload as soon as I open AOL. Not a big surfer except with Stumble Upon on Firefox so I don't expect many problems. That and when I'm looking for best prices and free stuff. Try to go by recommendations when I search for free stuff and avoid the suspect ones, you can usually tell which ones are kind of smelly.
