BootSkin_keyboard not found

Hi, I've been extremely happy with window blinds, then I added a new logon -- and finally I had the confidence to try BootSkin.
I had a huge error the first time. On my first startup the new bootscreen appeared - followed by a blue screen with a long message from which I extracted "..hardware missing".
Keyboard was not operating. My only option was to reboot -- Things were then halted before the bootscreen -- by the single message "keyboard not found". I replaced my usb keyboard with an older one and rebooted. Once again a new error message and I selected the option "last good configuration"
I'm back on -- and quickly uninstalled BootSkin. Anyone have any idea what happened. I may become stubborn and try again.
