Currently, 6 T1s of bandwidth is being used by persons such as yourself.

However, were you to perhaps purchase a subscription or maybe buy the programs that the skins are for, then perhaps you'd discover that there is actually easier/faster access for those who do.

If I'm not mistaken, a T1 is a pipe big enough to push 1.5 megs per second through, so 6 T1s would be 9 megs per second, or enough of a pipe to download the entire Windows 95 OS in 10 seconds.

A 56k modem is good for maybe 5 or 6 kilobytes per second, or is 1,500 times smaller than what the 'visitors' use to drain our resources...or would take over 4 hours to dl the Win95...

Read the other thread already, thanks. I understand now, my 56k downloads at 3.25 kilobytes per second. Man, they sure are sucking the juice, aren't they.

Every now and then, there is a thread complaining about costs, etc...and the ones assuming the site is in someone's bedroom on a P100 with 16 meg of ram and a 28k modem....
Gosh...I have a 2400 modem somewhere [2.4k]...maybe I could host Wincusto AND DevART as well on THAT!!!!

Wincustomize.com is bigger than any domestic enterprise could handle, certainly costs more to pump out than my annual income...

A T1 is 1.544 Mbps (megabits) per second.

So 9 of them would be 13.8Mbps, and that equates to around 1.7MB per second.

Jafo, it's megaBITS per second not megaBYTES per second... so divide by 8 to get the final figure - that's how I got 1.1MB per second
