Too many Akkans?

In Rebellion, the TEC seem to produce a lot of Akkan class battlecruisers. As I play against AI at Cruel Random or Vicious Random level, they are able to level up to 6 or 7 and use the pacifying ability to stop fighting. This makes battles very frustrating because as soon as one pacifier finishes they use another. I was trying to fight a fleet which had five Akkans. If two TEC are allies then it becomes even more frustrating!

I think the TEC should be limited to one Akkan each and the cooldown should be 420 secs.

one akkan would be rediculous, but this is no a rebellion thing its happened to me in diplomacy a few times. Certain types (havent determined which since i play on random) of TEC ai just build a lot of akkans. it is annoying, but akkans are kinda fragile so in the gaps where your not stopped just focus fire on the akkan, or wait till the akkans split up. I do think the pacifier power should be shortend though

solution is simple, dont fight were the akkans are

 

you should be able to do that to get em down to one planet

 

after which point, culture your way to victory if you have to.

 

ALso, akkans only use that abilities when the fleet sizes favor you. pull out a few ships, and the akkans will never cast.

We had this discussion before, what has the ability duration and cooldown to do with the fact that the AI spams them? Wouldn't it be completely sufficient to fix AI behaviour to use Akkans more normally?

preety sure the ai has no ryme or reason when picking a capital ship to build.

 

aka, its purely random chance what the ai builds.

Personal I think it's should not nerf my fav first cap ship, they are fine with it, I think they should rework of A.I way of using those, not ship itself....
