Thank god for Elemental to keep me company / busy.. Honestly. At first i sat there, looking at the progress bar, then i thought, "screw this!!" *started up elemental*.
The entire day and evening pass, i suddenly remember the FFXIV download, i quit Elemental and notice its STILL at 99%.

God, how can they have patches on torrents (built-in updater-app torrents that you cant configure), when the ONLY way to get the last 1kb is to download it from someone else, when EVERYONE who just got that last 1kb are insta-stopping the seed since the patcher itself quits and launches the game, resulting in noone to get that last 1kb from, since everyone who just got it, cant seed it....

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??! XO   *rant, mixed with Elemental praise to make it semi on topic, over!*

I am glad I got into the FF14 beta.  It helped me to know I won't be purchasing.  The new anti-bot software makes it so all commands entered on the computer have to be verified on the server before the game will respond giving the game a felling like you have 1000-2000 ping all the time.  I thought it was just because it was beta but nope, that was a feature.  Can't play it.

The Old Republic and Guild Wars 2 are all I'm interested in.  The MMO landscape has become supremely boring.

 

I don't even like Star Wars.  Meh.

After seeing the Guild Wars 2 vids from Gamescom, I'm drooling in anticipation. I had doubts when they were advertising their "event-driven" system, but the videos were just awesome. I'm a huge, huge fan of Guild Wars, and I absolutely can't wait.
