Two Questions

I just started playing the beta of EWOM a few days ago.   Thanks to the posts in the forums I have sorted out most of my questions.   However, there are two that I have not found yet.

1. How do you give items to another character in your party?    I am sure I am missing something obvious here.

2. What is required for you to build a mine and a forge?   I have researched mining.  I assume a mine needs to be built first.   However, I have built a lot of cities but none of them have ever given me the option to build a mine.   I was expecting metal deposits but I haven't found any.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Click on the character who has the items you want to transfer, then click on the "items" tab in the lower left.  Now just click and drag the item you wish to transfer to the character's portrait in the top-left.

Yes you are correct, you have to be next to metal deposits.  They are currently very scarce in Beta 2A.
