[Question/Suggestion] Add item-drop/swap functionality soon

I know what the verb "assume" can do to people, but I still hope it makes sense not to have logged "Can't drop item" as a gameplay bug.

I've not played more than a few hundred 0.264 turns so far in a few different games, but I'm seeing only Speed rings and none of the HP or Attack bonus rings. I don't expect to see the shipped game leave me with 4 Speed rings before in the first few tens of turns, but the situation does raise the question of when we'll be able to have units share their 'excess' inventory with other units, or just pick and choose amongs what we want to keep or drop back onto the map.

Instead of just dropping the excess items, an option to sell / convert to gold would also be nice...

End of Scorpiana's quote

That would be dropping/swapping in a specific locale, e.g. a Traders' Guild building in a city. Another thing I might be mistakenly assuming will be in the game eventually...

One thing I do regret about items is the fact that you appearently can't give them to another heroe.

For instance, if you loot an extra sword, which is useless since you already have one, you can't give it to your siblings or hired champions, who may only wield knives... (at least I couldn't find how xD).

Item Vault will probably fix a lot of these issues.

Potentially unwanted Weapons/Items could be sold for gold or Smelted/Scrapped for raw material gain.

Edit: There should be an NPC item-vault. If you build a World Market (in a city) you can "buy" any items ever sold, for only gold (but a lot of gold). Plus, there will probably a few Weapons and Items from an NPC list, completely randomized ... so that if no one sold anything, you would still have some relatively cool stuff to buy.
