I am sure this used to be an option accessed through the main menu but have recently reloaded the most up to date version of the game and cant find this option anywhere (most annoying as I often upgrade my ships-I know it's costly before you say anything 
)
Any help/tips/ideas appreciated
Funny, i thought it got removed too. I must be blind or something because when i checked again later, there it was under interface, last option.
Yes it is still there, however there have been a few new additions to the menu so you mayneed to use the scroll bar on the right to scroll down and find the option you require.
yeah i tried that as i could see that there is a scroll bar there but the only thing it shows under ship design is scrolling 45 degrees??!!
The option simply isn't there under smaller resolutions: you can't scroll down to it at 1024 because it doesn't exist under that size. It didn't appear at all for me until I went up to 1360 x 760.
ahhhh right-that would explain it as I had to reinstall the game and windows last weekend-ok will adjust the screen res (does that mean i should also run my PC res at the same?)
incidentally 1360 x 760 doesnt exist on my comp but i will try a higher res than 1024, which is what it's set on at mo
