Will DA now work with Vista, NVidia

Sometime I'm going to have to get a new computer. Thinking about
getting a dell. Need a video card. Often they only allow Nvidia cards.
Seen earlier postings about problems.

May have been the Nvidia drivers.

Has this been sorted out or are there still problems?

I'd like to wait til Vista comes out with SP1. Or til it goes away.
I guess it won't.

nVidia fixed the biggest issue, and the one most commonly reported, back in March. Though there seem to be new problems with the 162+ drivers now, those between 101 and 162 don't seem to have any particular issues.

I have an 8800gtx, along with vista home premium 32bit and I can say that there are no outstanding problems.

I do however play on gigantic maps and it does crash every so often, it also crashes when I hit esc and go to make a new game. I'm guessing I may be hitting the 2gb ram/page file limit.

I also have the latest nvidia beta drivers, required for Bioshock.

I'd surely recommend holding out for Vista SP1 if you can, but that might mean a few months into 2008.

I'm running 32-bit Home Premium with some combo motherboard thing called GeForce6150SE NForce 430 with driver version 7.15.11.5818 (4/12/2007). The game is running OK now, although I haven't had a chance to try playing for a really long time under my current configuration.

The system itself has been wonky since I tried updating the Nvidia drivers as part of my basic settling in on the new box. I run ZoneAlarm firewall and AV, and I'm pretty sure that's part of my problems. I don't think ZoneAlarm is entirely ready for Vista, or vice versa. Odd things continue happening. I have to run IE as administrator or it won't launch successfuly (I have to use IE for work). Very often, shutting down takes a half hour or more. Search response is good some days, bad others.

Thankfully I can distract myself from all the Vista weirdness by re-learning stuff I've done in Office for years without thinking. Apparently the "fluent" interface isn't for people who were already fluent...

I have a similar set up as Morberis, and the only problem I can see is that my scrolling is the slowest and wont go any higher.
