Can't drag off and rearrange icons althugh dock is not locked

mysterios behaviour

I can not drag off dock icons although lock is not checked.
I cannot rearrange them either. By dragging I can create dock icons to
some areas of the dock only because the space is not opening everywhere.
The dock icons are not fully fixed, they can be moved a bit but can't be dragged
off or moved to another place. To remove them I have to use their context menu.
I use Vista Ultimate x86.

I've found a solution for my issue in a reply to another post:
I am left handed and therefore my primary and secondary mouse buttons are switched.
This confuses object dock's drag option.
Setting back mouse button functions to normal resolves the issue.
This is a bug in the software anyway which should be corrected.
I don't think any other application in this world gets disfunctional if
mouse buttons are switched.

I was the one with this issue and the left handed mouse. Another user told me that if you hold down the left and right mouse buttons at the same time you should be able to drag the icons. It worked for me on XP and hopefully for you on Vista. It beats having to change the mouse buttons from time to time just to move something. I hope this helps. According to the Stardock guy, they should be addressing this issue in the next update since they are now aware of it. Good luck!

Aw, thanks!! Holding both buttons at the same time works. I was starting to get a bit flustered here.
