Yes, logging out and back in solved the problem. ODM now provides me with the list of available updates. Thanks! But, unfortunately the same error message is back when I exit and restart ODM. However, now I get the list of updates. Maybe it is the list as fetched from the server on recent successful run, but I will revert with a new support request when and if needed. Again, thanks!

Checked the firewall. No blocking there, and same error if I disable the firewall whatsoever.
Ok, fine, but the problem is still there... ;)
Not sure if you can read or see the first of my images above, but it looks like garbage to me so here is a new attempt: <img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAeEAAAC0CAIAAAAsHAOpAAAgAElEQVR4nOy9eXhTZd7/f/j+rusrlKKj6Mx3Rh9HZ8ZxQUBFHWSVRXEBFIXiNqMz84gzLjCO41qQImETaBOg0D1r22xN0jRt0+xbs+9rs3SnQGnL4jjzLM7z8PvjPufkJDlJU6QU9X5f76tXenL2c/LKJ5/7vj8HuZSqO269445b77jztjuBf/Fvv4CGnjzjdxq48X7+s58TfftPb4eG/qE5jckI/qr44+1nh0bODo38/cLXX53/O9F/z89fkfirfPz3C3+/Yh5nf/LdJd
OK, the message is still there after download latest ODM and reboot+rerun. Here is the error message: And here is the empty ODM that comes up after selecting OK in the above message box: <img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAhwAAAIbCAIAAAAvmdCTAAAgAElEQVR4nO3da5QT553ncc3OJIDt7Jt9NZuZ2c2+GmGzncmbfbEvDPY5e/aV26Wm8S0XX7Cdy8wYX0KcqPGw2MYBbEw3lwANmIsaTAOxHeJLYgcTz9jG4KaN3Sa3c2JDY3xJTugGo4ZGfbQvSqrr85QeSX+1qtTfz/kfTnWpqvTU7flJVZJIFf0ef2IlRVEURRlWIERSzlAeABAzw8PDzW
Hi, just renewed my ObjectDesktop license. I have been off for a year or so. Now, when I launch the "Object Desktop Manager" I get the following error message: "Sorry, unable to setup automatic checks. Please try again. If it fails again, you may run Object Desktop manually to retrieve updates until the issue is resolved." What does this mean actually? What am I supposed to do? Kind regards Leif Erik
