IconPackager problem - My Music icon never changes

it absolutely refuses to. i had IP 2.3 or whatever it was and now have 2.5 (Enhanced versions), but still doesn't fix it. i've tried everything to change the icon, even trying to resort to editing the shell32.dll. somehow that doesn't even work. wtf... any ideas?

Open the IP program and from the Tools menu, click on Restore all icons
Then scroll down the icons list and choose the icon set you want to use.
Click on the Load button.
Before you apply the theme, click on Icons & Cursors [it should be the second icon on the left window menu] Click on the Folder tab and verify that the 'My Music' icon has change from the default XP icon.
If it hasnt change, click on it to highlight it and then click on the Change button and change the icon manually.
When you are done click on Apply and then OK

...and if things are really wigged out like when you load up the default winXP icons and no icons show anywhere (just invisible icons....that you can still click on) .....hit Rebuild All Icons the reboot

/me was in a serious panic when that event happened

I have IP v2.50 and the only place the "My Music" icon change is at the following.

>> C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Music

All others remain as the default

And I thought I was going insane (or at least insaner). I can alter almost everything on my pc except that darn icon. It just wont change. I have even removed the folder completely but it just reinstalls itself. It wont go away. It jsut sits there laughing at me. Someone make it go awaaaay.

NightTrain...something is written in your registry somewhere that is forcing this icon to show...if it is showing no matter what else you try. I'm not saying that you should go poking around in your registry, but maybe posting your problem over at the MS newsgroups someone might know what should or should be in the registry so that you can finally just be insane and change the icon Good Luck
