Mining Starbase Issue Under 1.60.417998

First of all, thank you for giving mining starbases the ability to extend their range like other starbases.

Now, for the issue:

When you create a mining starbase and extend its range, the map will show the extended range, but the starbase management screen does not show the additional resources that should be getting mined in the extended range until the next turn.

The first screen snapshot shows that there are 5 elerium in the range of the mining starbase.

The second screen snapshot shows that the starbase management screen only thinks it is mining 2 elerium even though it shows that it knows that the Support Field Stabilization and Exploration Support System modules have been added.

Even though I am a Baby Boomer and not a Gen-Zer, I expect immediate gratification!

I always thought of it as a feature, not a bug. Aka, you need some time to actually set all things in place, before you can actually mine. After all, you have extended your minning missions by a few solar years, so it felt like part of lore.

But of course, it's just a game mechanic, which could be changed. I would love to hear what others think on the matter

Consistency, consistency, consistency.

When I create the mining starbase, I immediately start receiving resources at the rate of 0.1/resource/month.  If, when I create the starbase, I add a Mining Drones module, the amount of resources I receive immediately increases to 0.2.  However, if I add the module(s) to extend the range when I create the mining starbase, the additional resources do not appear until the next month.

There are a number of places where benefits that should occur immediately do not occur until the next turn or a ship moves.  My recommendation is to make EVERY upgrade to ships, starbases, planets, etc. occur immediately UNLESS you specifically state the delay that will occur before the effect will be seen. I believe this is what players will reasonably expect and not doing so will lead to confusion and doubt about whether the game is working correctly.

I am not saying what you have done is wrong, I am providing a critique from a player's point of view.

I pretty much agree with Paul. The first improvement to take advantage of ascension crystals and precursor artifacts takes one turn to take effect, but subsequent improvements take effect immediately. Should be consistent.
