Research Costs Not Showing When Trading

This is another one that I have previously reported, but since it is still happening in 1.05, I am reporting it again.

When I met the Corporate Sector, a popup window appears letting me know who I met and asking me to choose an option for what I wanted to do.  I chose the option to trade with them, the Trade window opened and I could start adding items to be traded.  The bug is that the research cost of the items you are offering does not appear in the upper right-hand corner of the popup windows that appears when you hover over the item (see the first screen snapshot below).  However, when you hover over an item being offered by the other civilization, the research cost appears as expected (see the second screen snapshot below).

This is true whether you hover over an item available to be traded or an item that has already been selected to be traded.  Why would the research cost appear for the other civilization's items, but not for yours?  Normally, it appears for both.  This is something that only seems to happen when you meet a new civilization.

There's also just a general lack of information on what values things have, sometimes I wish there was a 'what would it take for you to do X'

I agree.  My suggestion would be to allow the player to select 1 or more items from the other civilization then push a button to ask the other player what they would want in exchange.  The AI would need to make an offer that they believe is fair or just say that they do not want to make a trade.  The devs have already done something similar to that with respect to credits.  If you get close to enticing the AI to agree to a deal you can click on "Credits" and the popup window will show a number of credits that the AI will accept.  I think investing some time in the Trade feature would be worthwhile from a player perspective.

Another improvement related to trading would be to somehow indicate on the Diplomacy screen each civilization's willingness to trade with you.  For example, 100 would mean that they would give you a favorable deal and 0 would mean that they would trade with you no matter what you offered.

I don't think diplomacy should reveal ALL of the "secret sauce" as to why a Civ may or may not value certain things.

The UI should show values to ME,   Research Cost, etc
The UI should NOT show values to the other Civ.

The spirit of the diplomacy system should be "lets make a deal" not "here is some math and modifiers"
