Disclaimer:
- I have very little expectations that I will be able to get the information I am asking for.
- I fully understand that this information has almost no practical application.
- Unfortunately, I became a victim of my own curiosity (dangerous to cats and humans alike) and inquisitive thinking.
Preface:
If you want to do something with 3D assets you should learn a few things about building the models, making animations and exporting models and animations to the game engine.
While concept did not change a lot in 2021, the technology used for FE and LH is very very outdated. It is difficult to find tools and documentation. However if you have enough time and persistence hypothetically it is possible.
This forum contains pieces of information here and there as well.
The research:
You can get certain understanding of how the game deals with assets from various posts of Heavenfall, Civfreak and other modders (honestly it feels almost like archeology to dig trough posts 10 or 15 years old).
Btw some very interesting things were described here:
https://forums.elementalgame.com/398524/einfo-exporting-a-models-meshskeletonanimation-into-separate-hkx-files-in-3
and here:

Unfortunately these posts no longer have illustrations, so you miss like 50% of the information.
The question:
After spending some time and not finding a simple answer, I begin to wonder if there is anyone who can still explain how to export from a 3D tool to Havok (assuming that you somehow managed to get the old tools and make them work)? Namely what steps and parameters do you need to set up for HCT if you want to export, say, a slightly modified human model (mesh, maybe skeleton)?
