Hi folks! Been THOROUGHLY enjoying multiplayer GalCiv3 lately, apparently I'm not alone as there are often several games in progress when I fire up multiplayer.
Things are generally smooth, but every 15-20 turns it seems we lose connectivity. Not too much a problem as I just save & restore the session but it's quite regular. Today I took a look at debug.log and found this:
Debug Message: 0000028996879C10: invalid HTTP response code received. URL: https://api.epicgames.dev/telemetry/data/datarouter/api/v1/public/data?SessionID=BBE35F422-417C-F15A-9CF3-598FAAD33D24D&AppID=EOSSDK.PhaseRelease.ReleaseBuild&AppVersion=1.10.1-14934259-%2BBEOSSDKBRelease-1.10.1-CL-14934259&UserID=&AppEnvironment=Production&UploadType=sdkevents, HTTP code: 0, content length: 0, actual payload size: 0
Debug Message: 0000028996879C10: request failed, libcurl error: 0 (No error)
and this
Debug Message: [EOS SDK] Connect Auth Expiring - ProductUserId: 000227360731440d874b56fd241305a0
Debug Message: HandshakePeers 8e72a847
Debug Message: TachyonSystem: Starting authentication request
Debug Message: OnTurnHandshake hasChecksum 1 checksum 8e72a847
Debug Message: TachyonSystem: Successfully retrieved authentication response
Debug Message: TachyonSystem: Error: Bad result during authentication response (result: 2, type: 203)
What on earth do either of these mean? It looks like GC3 is using the EOS (Epic Online Services) API, does that mean that the MP is dependent on Epic's infrastructure? Should I call Tim Sweeney if GC3 multiplayer is unstable?
