Icons [shortcuts] are not staying in their fences or desktops

Greetings, I have enjoyed fences for many years, but I have had a persistent issue. Often, when I create a new fence, several icons from another fence on another desktop appear in the newly created fence. This also has the effect of removing the icons from their proper fences and desktops. 

Because I use multiple fences and multiple desktops, this problem completely disorganizes my system and is rendering the management properties I enjoy with fences, unreliable and unstable. I have read through the entire forum and have not seen this problem described.

Lastly, performing a "restore snapshot" does not return the icons to their proper places.

I am running Windows 10 with dual monitors with nvidea geforce 750ti graphics.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know on your issue.

  1. Windows version. PLease use Winver.exe to get to full Windows version numbers.
  2. Fences version.
  3. A video of this issue so that understand it better.
  4. Have you try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Windows 10, Ver 2004 (OS Build 19041.746)

Fences Ver: 3.0.9.11 (Says my copy is Up To Date!)

Unable to do a video, because the damage is done after a Reboot and no time to start the recording.

I have not tried to do a Reinstall....

I have version 2004 (OS build 19041.804)

Fences version 3.0.9.11

Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with a video, however, let me describe again:

My system has 2 monitors. Often, but not always, I start to create a new fence on on an empty space on my monitor. As I am creating the fence [left mouse and drag] suddenly, icons from other fences from other desktop pages appear as if they are already there before I create the fence and the fence is revealing them. Once they are visible they have been moved, not copied, from their proper location to wherever the new fence was created.

I am quite disinclined to perform a "purge" just to see what happens. I have 7 desktops and quite a few programs, icons, and folders in each. Have you seen this problem before. or is this something brand new and never seen before?

Let me know about your experiences with this particular issue and the outcomes please.

Hello again.

I have 2 Fences Desktop pages on 2 monitors system. And no, I have never seen that happen to me before. There might be conflicting application with Fences. You can try the Cleanboot steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#cleanboot. Try that and report back.
