Is IconPackager 10.03 the most recent version?

Is IconPackager 10.03 the most recent version? I understand there's not much incentive to update it, since apparently very few people use it. I can't imagine why it's not more popular though. It's really cool. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that great, so I was hoping some work had been done on it in the last few years.

Thanks,
Heather

I use it and yes, sadly that is the latest version, and yes, it needs quite a bit of improvement for Windows 10. :-(

I use it, too, on Windows 7, and it's quite buggy. I don't think it's been updated since 2017.

Could you be more specific about the issues you have with it on Windows 10?

Some Icons aren't available for skinning in IP 10.

Hi Neil. Well, it could just be the icon set(s) being used, but there are several icons that don't seem to apply. Like hard drive icons, folder icons, etc. They may or may not apply at first, but a day or two later they mess up. Folder icons turn to that plain white sheet of paper looking icon, drive icons go back to system default. Also, sometimes empty folder icons when applied are system default right when you apply a set. The problems are random and occur with various icon packages. It could be the packages themselves, but I am not sure. Maybe a little work by support applying a lot of different packages and seeing how things work out after a few days on each package might help to see what's going on might be helpful.

In a few cases when a problem occurs and I try to fix it, I have noticed that the icon itself for that area in the folder for that package has just disappeared, doesn't even show it the preview area for the package in IconPackager either. Somehow it just got deleted, but I didn't do that. SO I have to reinstall the package to get it back.

When applying any icon set too, the My Documents icons on ObjectDock (latest release) does not apply, it had to be changed manually. I know that ObjectDock is not fully supported on Windows 10, but I thought I'd mention the problem at least.

What Neil said.

The most annoying problem is when a custom package I've designed just rearranges and/or changes icons to something different than I had it set to, usually a different icon within the same package. It will be changed on the PC and also in IconPackager. The packages I downloaded from your site don't seem to do that. It's only my custom packages that do, so maybe there's a problem with the way they're being saved or cached.

One strange thing I just noticed is that, if I choose to adjust the color of a package, it changes it on ALL of the packages I have listed in IconPackager. Seems like it should only apply to one package at a time, and I actually thought that was how it used to work.

Anyway, I would be thrilled if you guys decided to start fixing bugs in the software and provide updates and stuff. I guess if you sold enough of them, you would already be doing that, so it must not be worth your while. I can't believe more people aren't interested in changing their icons. Everyone should have the opportunity to design a lovely desktop like mine (below). I also wish artists would design new packages. That trend ended before I discovered it. The image below is using a pink-colored version of the iVista set one of your artists made. My custom sets are a confused mess right now, so I can't use those.
