POLL: What WB Actions Do Find Useful Besides Min/Max/Restore/Close

Trying to learn what actions most people prefer to use, maybe work them into my skins... I'm guessing roll-up is pretty popular.. any others?

I use WB at work which involes heavy pc usage (lots of windows and programs running at once) and I haven't really found any usefull buttons other than roll-up. I find that they are often too small and it's just much easier clicking start and then run than to click a tiny lil button on the window. Perhaps a full-size button launching Internet Explorer or what have you might be usefull. That's just my opinion anyway.

We like roll-up and that thingy that makes the window go into the system tray thingamajig. Aren't we the technical ones?

I use Rollup all the time, but prefer the right-click method, so no button needed for that.
An Always OnTop button is very handy.
A button that opens my text editor would be cool.
There's really no other button, I've needed/wanted.

One of the main things I look for in a skin is toolbar buttons in 3D, or that stand out in some way instead of just being flat and plain like the old Windows interface.

right-click roll-up
lock-on-top
notepad
winamp controls
screen saver
calculator
quick launch (smarty button)
Green Reaper's transparency plugin

and whatever else you want to add...

Besides the standard buttons, the only other one I care for is the rollup button.

lol Paul

The feature i liked about GreenReaper's Blackcomb was you could hide the buttons, that way its not cluttered, btw Gabe if you havent already looked at David's Alien Technology Blind pretty neat how he has his buttons set up etc

/me still loves how alien's head glows, reminds me of that film Maximum Overdrive

I would not mind Notepad button, usually in there alot.

hmm you still use help button Gabe?

Definately keep roll up.

im a freak of skinners community

only thing i want to be on titlebar is a close button, and a system icon.

want to max/normal? double click titlebar.

want to minimaze window? right click thats how i wanted so that was how i modded dinkdx simple xp.

All of them. Every single possible button you could imagine, and then some. Not that you'd have guessed from my last two skins...

Seriously though, the most useful buttons for me are the rollup and always-on-top buttons. I do tend to use the shortcut buttons for the text editor and so on, but I don't really miss them when they're not there.

I like the on-top and rollup like everyone said. Also I think it'd be cool if there were 2 or 3 full-sized buttons that you could configure to launch programs you use most (IE, Photoshop, calc, ect).

Also....about smartbuttons? What do they do? Ive never seen a skin that has any....

SmartButtons are rather flawed in their implementation. I'm still holding out hope that one day they'll become useful and allow you to do things normal buttons can't.

I like the normal buttons, plus a roll-up (although I do that with a right click now), an always-on-top button, and a send-to-systray button.

Roll up and always on top.

Used together it helps when I have multipul windows up and I want to quickly switch from one window to another.

Launching programs of my choosing is also a nice feature with win Menu lthough I heard allot of people do not like it.

I like the Always On Top button.
