Automatic AI Declarations of War (Bug?)

Im a couple hundred turns into v3.02 Crusade, and I am ranked 2nd militarily with the Torians whom I have friendly relations ranked 1st. Im playing against two of each of the Stock AI Civs on a Ludicrous Godlike Map. Every fifty turns or so a dozen weak AI players declare war on me the same turn for an unknown reason (I have not invaded anyone's homeland, or anyone at all). The AI message is something about they know what I am up to. Anyway, after the brief turn limit where diplomacy is restricted, I take all of their money, a planet, and a starbase or two for peace. Then they declare war on me again not too long after.

That comment that you are getting when the AI when they declare war on you usually means that you are close to winning, especially through Research or Ascension. Check your Victory status and see how close you are to winning.

But if the AI is worried you might win and declares war on you, it shouldn't throw itself few turns later to your feet and beg for mercy :-D That is neither good diplomacy nor good warcraft.

Well, that is more of a problem with the way power ratings work rather than necessarily being a bug in the reason why they declare war on you.
