Should I upgrade from 8GB to 16GB RAM for 100+ Opponents?

I just played a 100+ opponent map on excessive map size, and it started crashing at turn 100.

However, I checked the RAM usage on task manager, and it was only 3.4GB.

Will getting more RAM actually help alleviate the crashes?
