[1.4] Rats in the ruins quest?

I can't actually remember the last time this was a real quest; I know it was the same in 1.3 -- it shows as a "Medium" quest, but all you do is trigger the quest, visit the ruins not many tiles away, there's no fight there, then go back to the quest location.  How is that "medium" difficulty?

SPOILER ALERT:

Some quests can develop in different ways. For Rats in the Sewers, sometimes there is a (medium) fight, sometimes there isn't.

Fights in quests can also be slightly harder or easier than the quest level, to keep things interesting.

From memory, in one version of Rats in the Ruins you have to fight at least one Corpse Spider, which is pretty dangerous with a starting army. I believe which quest version you get in a particular game is random.

It is a bit funny, though, since the quest that gets you the Brothers Sparus unit of spearmen is almost guaranteed to make you fight a (?Giant) Ravenous Harridan if you activate it at a time when you're still using an early game army, and that one is listed as 'weak' (this, of course, is assuming that you choose an option which results in gaining the Brothers Sparus).

I don't know about you guys, but I'd consider a quest which results in a nearly guaranteed fight against a giant spider to be a more challenging quest than one which has a slight chance of a fight against a giant spider, even though Corpse Spiders are more dangerous than Ravenous Harridans.

I've never fought a single fight in Rats in the Ruins, and I've had that quest a lot.
