[Suggestion] Quest-Recruitable Heroes should be classified 'Henchmen'?

To make them actually useful

Issue: the quest to recruit heroes like Mausolos and Ascian (the only 2 I got so far) are rather challenging, and tend to require a hero in the 6-10 range with a decent army.

Unfortunately, the reward is generally a mediocre hero that isn't worth replacing your hero currently leading the army (among other things, both Mausolos and Ascian can't use the full range of equipment and such).  And using him with that hero would significantly decrease the XP received.  So most of the time, they just go into a random city and sit there for the rest of the game to reduce unrest by 5%.

Suggestion: Make these unique 'heroes' classified as Henchmen.  That way, they (and your original hero) will get full XP in the same group, and you will actually want to use them, rather than just sticking them somewhere on the map and forgetting about them.

Ascian is tough and might even be OP.  Lightening Form is especially useful.

Have not yet encountered Mausolos.

I think there are a couple others (whose names I've forgotten) and they are good to have.

Mausolos is kinda useless ;)  Just a high HP tank, but at 2 movement... hard to use.

The point remains though, that I think having your mage hero or commander hero is better than having another warrior unit.

Having just got Ascian at level 10-ish with a lucky faction and applied stoneskin to her, I've found her to be nigh-on invincible (massive hp and dodge, half-decent defence) and a very effective attacker (very high accuracy means more maul attacks, plus high crit chance).

Incidentally, could we please have a description for her? seems strange that we capture this legendary doomtiger and the lore box has not a thing to say...

Mausolos isn't useless.  Free Death Ward every battle is nothing to sneeze at.

I do agree on the henchman change though for the reason you mentioned- gives extra value to these heroes.

Well in my experience, death ward only matters if the enemy actually targets him, and if he can actaully get into the combat.

With that 2 movement and fairly low initiative, he was always lagging behind any melee units (if I had any) and so I found the AI always targetting all my other melee units but him lol.

And personally speaking, I always have wargs or horses on most of my units, which further reduces mausolo's utility since he would massively slow the movement rate of any army he's in.
