Help - how to lead mobs into attacking other's outpost?

My ally built an outpost far from his lands and near my new border.

as it happens, it has a life shard I need.

so,

i tried luring mobs on the outpost to no luck. We cicrcled around for ten turns, they didnt attack the outpost or two mines/a shard.

i managed to get two mobs into the area but nothing. They didnt attack or destroy the outpost even when i left area leaving them to their fun INSIDE the area.

they dont have ward since mobs pass through all time.

i think its tarth NPC.

so, how to I remove my allies outpost from therE and put mine?

 Is there a way?

 Im friendly only with them so,...i dont want to declare war...

I wish we had mimicry unit and army spells,

as well as False representation and Total Closure realm spells.....identifying as someone else and closing our borders in an arcane mist....

Snake an influencial city to that outpost. It will flip.

Hmm, closest city is 11 spaces away, maybe too much?

not settleable anything clser.

its a conclave and highly developeld...

Try to rejuvenate some land nearby - either with a city sphere of influence, or with a rejuvenation spell. 

I have actually demolished buildings to rebuild them in a particular direction (not much a problem when you are rolling in Gildar) but that's a very situational solution.

You can't lead a horse to water anymore (er... mob to opponent's outpost).  Too many people cried about getting their outposts destroyed so Brad turned it into a very rare (and random) occurrence.

As an interesting note ... playing 1.00 on ... easy I think? And monsters like ... NEVER attack my cities, and only occasionally attack my troops.

 

I once had a Fell Dragon pass by my size 1 city, just sayin high. (btw, same dragon wandered off its nest, and I 'captured' it ... but don't have the tech Dancing with Dragons yet ofc). Well anyways, the dragon occasionally returns to its nest ... but only to say hi. It never attacks my city. (might attack free-roaming units if near, but I never gave it the chance )

darklings attack my cities on 1.00 (though those darklings are after quest triggered).

How in hell you have 1004 version, and steam doesn't have it yet?

This thread reminded me of the old space resources in GALCIV.... The AI was always so quick to grab all the resources while the player was still in the middle of struggling to claim a few planets in among the hordes of AI colony ships!

 

I used to surround the resource station with my ships and then give one of my ships to the AI at war with the owner of the station. You would usually have to blockade the ship to make it attack the station.

 

You cannot 'give units in FE?? and you probably cannot blockade monsters to force them into the AI city either?? or can you?

Go into Steam - Fallen Enchantress - properties - Allow to play betas.
