Usually when I play, I quit when I have the upper hand. Its just too much work to see it all through when you know you are winning. This time I did it all and it was interesting.
Settings: Large map, Hard, Dense monsters, Cesera (spelling?), as presented by game, Resoln.
The start of the game went as usual. Lots of mites, bandits and wolves. Got two shards and thereby two death demons (the ones that split). These demons was split to max on the bandits, mites and wolves. Hired the standard nearby hero (was a melee one). Hired another one very late game, but mainly my sov and the melee Hero was used.
My notes:
1. Tested some other demons from the other shards. They are still far iniferior to the death demons, and they offered nothing in battles.
2. The death demons was useful also in late game and due to their high hitpoints, they soak damage even with their little defense.
3. I made a unit with warg, some leather and upgradeable sword. I used this design all game, and they served well
4. I had to kill 5 armies with guardian statues, but I never found where they came from. Anyone know this?
5. I killed one single dragon and 3 drakes all game.
6. The wild offered no resistance to my expansion. This makes me very sad, as I loved the previous versions where your expansion was stopped by the wild.
7. I killed Gilden first. They had many armies, and not too weak either. Still, the magic of Ceresa (now nerfed, and not as OP as before), my demons and warg units took them one by one. Did the same with the rest of the AIs.
8. The AI makes some very strong units (met level 6 units with 170 hitpoints a piece). The AI does not back them up with buffs, wargs/horses and spells from their heroes.
9. One of the AI actually put a negative spell on one of my cities. Me likes. 
10. The wildlands played no part, cause I was not in a position to enter one. The one near me was closed by a gate (is that the start of the master quest?)
11. Used 76 years to win
12. The level 5 kill spell (death) at 195 mana was FUN 
13. The "when idle" bonuses are just annoying, and not fun for me
14. Resources are well balanced I think (crystal, metal, mana and such). I like that you can upgrade them
15. The building choices in city level up are pretty poor. I dont feel that the buildings do much.
16. Did not upgrade a single outpost. Dont like this functionality at all in its current form. Why defend them when the animals are as shy as they are now.
All in all the game get more polished in each Beta, but it has lost some of its rugged charm. I no longer find quests that suddenly spreads spider armies all over the map, I never lose a city to monsters. Go big or go home has become go big and go safe.
