1) Is the starting tile for a settlement the only tile that counts when it comes to production and food, from what I can see it is so? Does it matter if the tiles beside it are good or not? I understand that any improvements will make the city more effective but does the tiles besides the one you settle on make any difference?
2)Does it make any difference if I build an improvement as for example the workshop on a tile with good production value or not?
3) Is the production and food values completely random, I would prefer if you by just looking could see if a spot is good or not. As far as I understand it's just completely random? When I see this sweat tile by the river delta I would hope it's fertile and perhaps a tile close by mountains and forests to be good for production.
4) Would be great if there was a setting in options to enable good starting positions for everyone to ensure one good "home" city instead of making me reload.
5) I am not sure why but for some reason the city building aspect of this game is simply not very intresting, I kind of just press the build button and don't really care after that. I don't really care about the city, either I am missing something or this kind of city management isn't for me. Am I alone in this feeling or is there something lacking here, not sure what but I don't really feel involved in the city building at all. I didn't really enjoy civ 5 but for some reason a city there meant more for me although this game already is way more fun on all other levels.
Thx for any input or thoughts
