I think a hero should only have one path(mage, warrior, defender, assasin, administrator). And if the hero doesn´t have one the first time he lvl up you choose one. And at lvl 5 or 7 or 10 an upgrade to their path, warrior->berserk/noble, mage->warlock/enchanter, assasin->shadow/blade dancer, defender->paladin, guardian.
Path of the mage: the heroes that only have one magic school you should be able to give him another school when he lvl up. This path it´s designed very well.
Path of the governor: it seems pointles that this path lvl up during battles, if you have a hero that is an administrator he should gain XP´s if he is inside a city. He should have jobs(work inside a building), builder, researcher, merchant, and gain xp´s if he is doing one of them. This path will lead to a very different type of hero. Or just change this path to the "Path of the general", armies buffs and a little bit of a warrior/defender skills.
The melee paths:
- Warrior, this path is truly OP, double strike, stun, sweep, crushing blow... with a strong weapon(2h) you do a lot of dmg much more than the two other paths. Growth + giant form +2h maul weapon +crushing blow=170 dmg lvl 10-12 warrior if i remember. Or giant form+graveseal(always crit on enemy target)+2h maul weapon +crushing blow=200 dmg lvl 15 warrior. This is insane, and there is still room to tweak this.
- Assasin, need a buff. Special attacks that does critical dmg and increase the critical multiplayer, dazing granades, blinding atacks, strealth/ambush or bonuses if the enemy he is atacking is dazed/stuned/poisoned/under negative effects. Atacks that ignore armour/defense...Right now the assasins can´t compete with the warriors. Also dual wield, offhand dagger.
- Defender, well they only get one counter that i see at the moment, lvl 15 defender. Sugestions: increase zone of control, atacks anyone that leaves their zone of control, snare. Bashing with their shield, shield charge, aoe shield atack, cover allies. Shouts/auras: increase/reduce atributes of allies/enemies near him, taunt?
