Sometimes it does some kind of special damage, it occasionally hits one of my summoned guys and does like 40 points of damage & seems to inflect some kind of spell. Of course there is no description of this in the manual, so I have no idea what it is actually or what the chance is of it doing its special damage, it seems to have a small percentage chance, like critical hit, of happening. I typically make them a priority target for my archers.

I don't think anything is worth 12k in this game except squads. The squad cost of that sword might be cheaper, I havent checked.

Not much, you see I created a squad with about everything I can put on them (include medical pack, amulet, ring, band and other thing) and cost me for a 12 man squad about 2K for an asthonishing 201 att and 302 def... 400 crystal if I remember correctly. BUT, I think I equipped them with claymore... so maybe a little much for Karrazan sword... also, we need elementium and I don't know how to get it .

You can't creat a unit with this sword, as far as I know.

I think they only have karrazan----not elementium karrazan---not that I really wait around to find out, Scions are a pain---priority kill.

After verification, you are rigth: I can't create a squad with karrazan sword... my bad . By the way, I check my full equip compagny and it's 2.5K with 450 crystal to make them a force of 338 att and 795 def... so for about 1/5 price, I can have a kick ass army (but it cost me 25.4 gold upkeep).

Yeah, I've noticed Resoln soldiers toting around Karrazan's before too.  Don't think they're Elementium, but they're definitely Karrazan's.  It seems to give HP Regen.  Dunno about the Elementium Karrazan though...  I've got something like 14K Gold in my current game...  I'll have to check that out.

But yes, I am relatively sure it's an expensive piece of shit, as Lord Xia so eloquently put it.  (Really, that was eloquent, as there's no other fitting way to describe it.)  Of course I trust his judgment and experience on the matter, but I'll have to see for myself as well.  And I can't fathom why it would cost 12,000 freakin' gold for a sword with 3 extra attack on the Sovereign's Sword...  I mean, is THREE extra really worth 12K?  (Obviously not.)

...Or I could spend that gold to finally get my Diplo Victory...  Yeah, forget it, I'll just trust you guys on this and spend my Gold to actually do something...  Like win the game...

Except the non-Elementium karrazan has the exact same attack power, and a +2 combat speed to boot, for like 200 gold.

Also, Sions start with the regular karrazan.  No Kingdom unit has them, and neither faction can design a unit that uses them.

I would assume this is the old "Place Holder" developer trick. They put an item/spell in a game. It isn't completely fleshed out, so they "bug" it. They make it so the description is "item4326v.204red" or some crazy 'shit' (trying to blend in here) like that. This is completely a joke to have it cost 12k.

It's not worth 250. Then again, nothing is worth over 250 (offensive) if that is price of longbows. I guess, they made EK sword, want to use it in game someday, but are trying to 'balance' combat right now, and/or want it to Proc. Either they don't have ability to Proc, or are afraid that a sword that regens mana or something like that would be a gamebreaker. So they make it 12k knowing no one will buy it until the game is already won already.

Another "expensive piece of shit" is the cost of legendary armor for one of those giant factions. I forget which one, but each item is like 1000 gold. It is normally 120ish for everyone else. So I get sovereign, 4 kids. I need 15k to put armor on them? Playing a different faction, I could armor my sovereign, all 4 kids, and every hero I hire (roughly 6 more) for under 15k. (more like 4k roughly). All I need to do is equip them with EK swords and let er rip.
