Can't start games larger than, well large.
I've heard of people making huge scale games, and yet I can't, anyone have any idea why?

I can't load my large game either.
Windows just does its little send error deal.
Sorry I didn't make that clear, I can't *Create* games larger than Large.
Huge and humongous aren't implemented - and I'm not sure if they intend them to be eventually. I don't think the would be very playable for many people with the current memory leak issues anyways. If you've heard people talking about them, they may have been comparing Elemental to GalCiv 2.
It's also possible they were talking about the beta- but I don't remember maps larger than large from the beta. I didn't play it much since it was a friend who got into the beta and not me.
Well I'll admit I was partially basing this off the blatantly outdated pdf manual but yeah, I see what your saying.
I hope they add support for larger sized maps at some point- maybe in the x64 version since that should be able to utilize more than about 1.5 GB of RAM without crashing. And yes before someone says something I know that the theoretical limit for 32 bit adressing is higher, but 1.5 GB is closer to the real limit when you account for video-ram adressing and other things.
I'd love to throw the 64 bit version on the box I put together for running plasma simulations. I wonder how big of a map it could handle with 12GB of system RAM, 1 GB of video RAM, and 4GB of video RAM on the Tesla 1060. If only it could use the tesla GPU and vRAM for something like AI calculations. Sadly I think MATLab and Maple are the only pieces of software that will use my GPUs to do math not involving polygons and particle effects.
