Remove Favor Items from Ranked play (Pantheon and Skirmish)

from Demigod Forums

Now I do love my favor items but these should be mostly for custom games. Please remove from Pantheon and Skirmish these games often can be decided by a broken item or teammates with not enough favor to have the right item that game. The ranked game should be decided by skill and strategy not a favor item.

 I could easily see someone with experience in the genre outplaying them in a first online match.  It is also wrong because you could conceivably reach the skill cap before you unlock all the favor items that you need to play effectively.

They'd have to reach that skill cap pretty damn fast, since you only need 1 favor item for any given build to play effectively.

1-if some items are broken, they need to be balanced, not to be removed from pantheon.

2-teammates that don't have favor items will soon be very rare, you only need one of them after all, you can buy the swift anklet after one match or two and that is a really good favor item.

So i don't see why those problem should make the devs remove the favor items from the pantheon.

If there is a balance problem, the items need to be balanced, not removed (by the way, the devs admited that they have focused on the skills, and that they didn't have so much time for the items, so we can probably hope to see a revamp/rebalance soon).
