Object Desktop 2009 renew and ObjectDock Plus for only $30

I just received a mail from Stardock about Object Desktop renew and ObjectDock Plus ...

Well maybe i missunderstand, but i get ObjectDesktop until September 2009 and i already bought ObjectDesktop Plus.

Though will i need to renew now Object Desktop to be able to get ObjectDock Plus updates ? >:(

You won't have to pay for it again, unless you upgrade it after the year/version you paid for. Unless I am mistaken it has always been that way. It will always be yours. Just no more upgrades unless you buy them.

ObjectDock?  Well . . first . .not everyone has it . . so they wouldn't "pay again".  Second . . the gold version does exactly what it says it will do for the OS it's certified for.  Third . . . the beta version is optional and does improve on the gold version (except for unsupported OSs).

So in the end . .it's a good deal for many people.  If it's not a good deal for you . . don't do it.  :)

 

For everyone else . . . ODNT rocks and will continue to rock.  And OD+ is a phenomenal application well worth the money.

Thanks for the link Zu...I didn't get this offer for some reason and the deal was too sweet to pass up. Got Object dock plus and another year added for the cost of a renewal.

Realistically.. All apps are in beta. As Os's change and new features are added every app will be essentially in perpetual beta. When a Dev stops developing new features or updates, then the app will die off as it looses intrest/ compatibility. ;)

I had a problem with OD in as much as most of the apps didn't work on my machine and I ended up with just the same ones I had as standalone to start with.

Really disappointed me, I was so excited to get OD at first..............:'(
