How do I clean up what OBJECTDESKTOP left behind?

Yrag & Bichur, don't fail me now!

I was able to recover all of my icons except the Microsoft Office Icon's (word, exel, etc.) So I am willing to move on from here. (new post)

I have tried using Vista's Uninstall, and I have run odnt_zapper, but like my ex-wife, ObjectDesktop "just won't go away!" c:\programfiles(x86)\stardock\Mycolors, c:\programfiles(x86)\objectDesktop\ dirs and sub dir's are still there.

Besides "mucking" around in regedit, and deleting the above dir's any other ideas on how to clean things up?

You could try Revo Uninstaller WWW Link It does a fantastic job of cleaning out the the junk left behind when uninstalling programs.Set it on advanced,it first uses the programs own uninstaller,then scans for leftovers.You'll be shocked at how much there is left behind.

It's safe, free and easy to use.I don't even use add/ remove programs anymore.This is so much better,although you may have to reinstall the program for it to uninstall it properly.(It has a mode to clean out with reinstalling them,but I have never used that part).

I don't have Mycolors... but...

if it and everything else is uninstalled and what you have left over are remnants...

can't you just delete those folders?

then run CCleaner again also use the reg cleaner part?

Create a Restore Point.

Right click Zapper/Properties, check "Run in XP compatibility mode". Run Zapper. Reboot. Download: WWW Link and install as a trial- it is 64 bit compatible. (trial is 30 days full featured. If you don't like it at the end of trial, it un-installs clean.)

Open Windows Disk Cleaner, check them all and delete.

Look to see what files Zapper left. Anything you find, delete. Empty Recycle Bin. Run Powertools, let it scan your system (if it didn't on the install), set it to create backups and run the 'Registry Cleaner'. Have it fix all the errors it finds (drop down menu- Select all/ hit Fix). Reboot.
